Youth Volleyball league
READY, SET, JUMP!
A great team sport, volleyball is good exercise and lots of fun. We have youth volleyball leagues that are an excellent way to build friendships, stay in shape and have fun. Leagues form throughout the year.
Contact the Y for complete volleyball details, registration information and rates.
FUN FACT: Originally called mintonette, volleyball was created by the YMCA! The experimental game of mintonette combined a variation of the badminton net with elements of basketball , the German game of fistball and handball. The first volleyball game was played at Springfield College in 1896.
At the Telford Community Center YMCA, Youth Volleyball is about more than the final score.
Our program provides young athletes with a supportive environment where they can strengthen volleyball fundamentals, stay active, build confidence, practice teamwork and sportsmanship, and form positive connections with teammates and coaches.
Through encouragement and healthy competition, participants have opportunities to grow both on and off the court.
