GROUP SWIM LESSON SCHEDULE:

Classes on Monday and Wednesday OR Tuesday and Thursday for 4 weeks
Pre-School Levels: Ages 3-5
PIKE: Beginner (5:45-6:25pm) For children who are new to the water with little or no swimming experience, and are uncomfortable going under water. Learn skills in going under water, floating, kicking paddling, and retrieving items from underwater.
EEL: Intermediate (6:30-7:10pm) For children who are not afraid to go under water. These children should have some swimming experience and are comfortable floating/going on their front and back in the water with their ears submerged. This level will teach skills in freestyle and backstroke arm positions. This level will build on doing the skills learned in the Pike class, with more independence and less help from the instructor.
PARENT AND CHILD SWIM LESSON SCHEDULE:
January 28th-March 18th
This class if for parents and their
children who are 6 months to 3 years old. This class is designed to help the child become acclimated to the water and be prepared for future group lessons. This class will teach basic water safety in and around aquatic areas.
ADULT AND TEEN SWIM LESSON

Class levels are based on the child’s swim experience
Youth Levels: Ages 6 and up (or based on instructor approval)
Polliwog: Beginner (5:45-6:25pm) For
older children who are new to the water and may be uncomfortable going under water. Basic swimming skills are taught: floating, retrieving objects , kicking, arm motions and breath control.
Minnow: Intermediate (6:30-7:10pm)
Children must pass the exit skills from the previous level or be able to do some front crawl/elementary backstroke for a distance of 3 body lengths. This level will refine previous skills and teach new skills in breaststroke kick, treading water, and breath control in front crawl.
Guppy: Advanced (7:15-7:55pm) Children must pass the exit skills in previous level or be able to swim backstroke or freestyle across the length of the warm-water pool. This level will refine previous skills and will introduce new skills in breaststroke, butterfly, and diving.
Pre-Piranha: Advanced (7:15-7:55pm) This is the level before entering into the TYP Piranha Swim team! Child has an understanding of all strokes, has breath control, and is looking to fine stroke performance. Child does not have to join swim team, but this level will include skills on using the pace clock, building endurance, and diving from start block.
